Cleveland Climate Week connects residents, youth, educators, community groups, nonprofits, universities, businesses, artists, environmental professionals, and other local leaders working toward healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities across Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.
Cleveland Climate Week creates space
for people to share what they know, learn from one another, build relationships, and connect local ideas with opportunities for action.
Youth Leaders: Creating space for young people to organize, lead conversations, share ideas, and help shape environmental solutions.
Community Groups: Strengthening neighborhoods through trusted relationships, grassroots leadership, and locally rooted action.
Businesses: Connecting local and regional partners with opportunities to contribute resources, ideas, expertise, and sustainable practices.
Educators, universities, and environmental professionals: Sharing knowledge, research, skills, and expertise in ways that support community priorities and practical solutions.
Our Story
Cleveland Climate Week began with a simple observation: meaningful environmental work was already happening across the region, but the people doing it did not always know one another.
The initiative was created as an independent, community-centered space where those efforts could meet, become more visible, learn from one another, and grow through connection.
The work did not begin with Cleveland Climate Week. It was already here.
From neighborhoods and classrooms to gardens, businesses, cultural spaces, universities, community organizations, and workplaces, people across the region are already building solutions rooted in the places they know and care about.
Cleveland Climate Week helps those paths cross.
The 2026 awareness year is building relationships, visibility, and connections ahead of the official 2027 launch.
Who Shapes the Work
Cleveland Climate Week is shaped by the people and organizations who participate. Everyone does not need to contribute in the same way because the value comes from what each person or group brings.
No single organization defines or owns the initiative. Cleveland Climate Week grows through shared participation and collaboration.

What We're Building Together
Cleveland Climate Week is creating more opportunities for people who care about similar issues to find one another, share what they know, and build on work already happening across the region.
Through community storytelling, year-round gatherings, Climate Starts With Me, Neighborhood Connections, EPN Connect, and growing relationships across Northeast Ohio, more people can discover where their interests, experiences, and ideas connect.
What grows from here will be shaped by the people who participate, the relationships they build, and the things they choose to care for together.
Connected Through Partnership
Cleveland Climate Week is a community-centered initiative developed in collaboration with Neighborhood Connections, an Ohio 501(c)(3), which serves as the initiative's fiscal sponsor.
Our collaboration with the Environmental Professionals Network and EPN Connect helps expand connections locally and regionally.
EPN Connect is free to join and creates opportunities for residents, students, community groups, nonprofits, universities, professionals, businesses, and organizations working on environmental topics to find one another, share opportunities, exchange resources, and build relationships.
This is Only the Beginning
There is no single starting point for this work.
Some people begin with a neighborhood concern. Others begin with art, health, food, housing, education, business, energy, trees, water, transportation, culture, or simply a question.
